Dr. Sujin Kim

Dr. Sujin Kim is currently in her 10th year as Director of The Forest-Aires Women’s Chorus. She obtained her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in piano performance at the College-Conservatory of Music, where she received a full scholarship to study piano with Michael Chertock. She holds a master’s degree in piano performance from CCM. Ms. Kim is an active performer, both as a soloist and collaborative pianist, and she enjoys working with people through music. Kim is currently working as director of music at Sycamore Presbyterian Church and director of Sycamore School of Music. She resides in Cincinnati with her husband, Noel, and their three sons, Noel, Alberto and Roberto.

Betty Richardson

Betty is a native of Cincinnati, attended CPS schools, and then earned two degrees from the University of Cincinnati (BM in Music Education and a MA in Mental Health Counseling). She worked for 30 years in the Oak Hills Local School District as a music teacher and school counselor.  Outside of school time, she sang with the May Festival Chorus (10 years) and held down various church jobs.
     During summer breaks, she traveled with the Cincinnati International Touring Chorus, under the direction of Dr. John Leman. She sang and/or accompanied on these trips. Highlights included singing in the “Bridges of Song Festival” in Estonia, singing in Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, and playing “Chichester Psalms” on organ with a harpist and percussionist in Copenhagen.
    Betty then spent 10 years at Mt. St. Joseph University as an Adjunct Instructor and accompanist for music majors/minors and the choruses.
    Currently, Betty is Music Director/ organist/ pianist at St. James Episcopal Church in Westwood. During the school year, she accompanies for several middle/high schools around the city. She also is member of MUSE, Cincinnati’s Women’s Chorus.
    Betty  loves to read, play games (especially Euchre and Mahjong) and spoil her daughter and feline, Stella. The opportunity to work as a Collaborative Pianist with The Forest-Aires is a new joy for Betty!
